We’re committed to creating environmental and sustainable communities so that you know your home is part of making this world a better place.

Here are a few of our Green Initiatives:

LED Lighting

We’re partnering with energy companies to bring LED lights into all of our properties. In 2019, we implemented LED lights at 29% of our properties, which is projected to help us reduce CO2 emissions by 892 tons and produce over $95,000 in energy savings annually. This means a healthier environment for all and less heating and energy costs for our residents.

Energy & Resource Conservation

We replace all of our appliances with EnergyStar certified appliances and all of our plumbing with low flow plumbing, which helps our residents save money, reduce energy, conserve resources and protect the climate. If you move into one of our newly renovated units, you can rest assured knowing you’ve got the greenest appliances out there.

Paperless Initiative

We are piloting a corporate-wide paperless initiative to reduce our use of paper and help prevent deforestation. With over 400 employees and 24,000 residents, that’s a lot of paper we can save and a big impact we can have on the environment!

Responsible Partnerships

Our commitment to integrity guides all of our decisions. It is important to us that our partners share our commitment to sustainability and developing our communities. That is why we have chosen to partner with companies who have clear sustainability programs. Our partners in sustainability are:

• Shaw Floors – Supports the protection of human rights and uses responsible procurement.
• Sherwin Williams – Committed to highly ethical governance standards, charitable giving and reduction of energy use and hazardous waste.
• Benson Integrated Marketing Solutions – Recycles used uniforms and donates the clothing to the homeless and those in need.
